Entrepreneurs at heart

Sally and Susan work together in our jinja town shop. They are good friends and are constantly chatting - not even missing a beat when I interrupt to ask a question. So it was no surprise when Susan told us they have been talking a lot about raising chickens.

Chicken's are a good way to make some extra profit in Uganda. In the next few weeks we will be budgeting and planning with the ladies to help make this a very tangible goal. Since the ladies live in town they will have to rent land outside of town where they can keep the chickens or get their families in the village involved. I love when the women come to us with ideas like this where they are showing initiative and are having entrepreneurial spirits. Something tukula is very passionate about is helping people reach goals and give opportunity for dreams to come true. Through our savings and budgeting program ideas become reality. We will continue to keep you updated on Sally and Susan's chicken business progress. We're excited to see what happens!

"You see things and say 'why?' but I dream things that never were and I say 'why not?'"
