Meet Susan

Susan is one of the newest Tukula tailors. She adds so much fun to our jinja town shop with her funny stories and great ideas. Susan is a go to girl - recently I was planning a trip to the north east where they speak a different language than in Jinja and of course Susan knew some of the language and taught me some. Her and sally are the best of friends and are always scheming and planning together. With the money she earns through tukula she is returning to school to get her certificate and diploma in tailoring. She also uses the money to provide the basics needs her family has. We are thankful for Susan's work and can't wait to get to know her better!

I also wanted to let you all know that with the money Sally has been earning she will be able to afford the transport costs to see her family in the north for the holidays. She was also able to buy her family members mattresses for Christmas - they are currently sleeping on mats made out of banana fibers in the village.Along with the mattresses she bought her mother a cellphone so they can keep in touch while Sally is in Jinja.

Thank you for all your support and love!
We are blessed!
